Warner Bros’ ‘Minecraft: The Movie’  is set to begin filming in New Zealand

Warner Bros. has announced that the Minecraft film adaptation will begin production in New Zealand on August 7th. The film will center on the evil Ender Dragon, who seeks to destroy everything. The Overworld will be saved from the dragon’s wrath by a band of brave adventurers led by a young girl. The characters of Jason Momoa and Matt Berry have yet to be revealed. The film was also directed by Jared Hess of Napoleon Dynamite and produced by Mary Parent and Roy Lee of Dune. The film will be released on April 4, 2025.
