Tiki Taane, a celebrated artist and producer hailing from New Zealand, is all set to showcase his documentary, “Tiki Taane in Session with CSO (Christchurch Symphony Orchestra),” at the upcoming Misty Flicks Film Festival in Te Awamutu next month. This exclusive screening aligns perfectly with the festival’s aim to spotlight films with connections to the Waikato and Central North Island regions.
It’s not uncommon for locally produced films to achieve significant international acclaim, yet we often overlook their roots in our own homeland. Tiki Taane, based in Pāpāmoa, crafted his award-winning concert documentary in May 2021, capturing a sold-out performance at the newly refurbished Christchurch Town Hall.
