HyperCinema is the newest form of entertainment and yet another surreal reminder that we are living in the future. It’s difficult to categorise Hyper Cinema as any specific type of entertainment since it’s the first of its type in the world. Despite being billed as a “live AI experience” that combines “theatre, film, and digital technology,” Dr. Gregory made it clear that it is not intended to replace movies and television.
HyperCinema distinguishes itself from earlier art forms through you, by focusing on YOUR face and personality. It’s a heavily personalised experience, with you at the centre of it all. You start of by taking 15 photos of your face taken from different angles, after which you take on a spontaneous questionnaire. Seth Gupwell mentions being asked on his favourite vegetable and what he believed to be the greatest threat to humanity.
