The Government Minimises Red Tape for International Productions in New Zealand.

The government has made screen rebates more accessible to filmmakers and has promised to remove red tape for international productions planning to film in New Zealand. Domestic and international productions are offered rebates administered by the Film Commission to entice them to work locally. The international rebate provides an uncapped rebate of up to 20%, whereas the domestic rebate provides a 40% rebate to productions with significant NZ content.
