NZ On Air, the independent government financing organisation in charge of managing public media in New Zealand, has released a new study to better understand current material consumption trends.
The research discussed some key findings including the development of digital media consumption and the distinct differences between online and conventional TV viewing.
The study survey also looked into illicit content streaming, downloading, and torrenting; It was discovered that 31% of New Zealanders have admitted to doing so, a number that is gradually rising. The biggest increase is among people aged 15 to 34, when 34% admit to downloading, streaming, or torrenting.
