McSweeney is set to assume the role of the Head of Sales and Acquisitions for Umbrella Entertainment in New Zealand, complementing the equivalent position held by Nick Hayes in Australia, who was recruited last year. Based in Wellington, her primary focus will be on acquiring New Zealand content for theatrical distribution, and she will report jointly to Umbrella’s Managing Director, Jeff Harrison, and General Manager, Ari Harrison.
In addition to McSweeney’s appointment, Umbrella Entertainment has revealed plans to expand its New Zealand library on Brollie, the AVOD service launched in November.
