Emma Hislop has been named the recipient of the 2023 New Zealand-Australia residency exchange, which Varuna, the Australian National Writers House, and the Michael King Writers Centre in Auckland organize. Emma will work on her latest book and attend the Blue Mountains Writers Festival during the four-week residency exchange in September and October 2023. She holds an MA from the IIML with distinction and was awarded the Louis Johnson New Writers Bursary in 2021.
